He is survived by: his wife Marnell Faith Landry Lapeyrouse; his children, Dr. Corey David Hotard, Kevin Paul Hotard (Nancy), Denise Hotard Trahan (Eddie), Claudette Lapeyrouse Robey (James), Lisa Lapeyrouse Brenneman, Craig Anthony Lapeyrouse (Tami) and Greta Lapeyrouse Adams (Rickie); his son-in-law Scotty Cox; and his sister Marcia Ann Lapeyrouse Guidry (Jimmie). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
