He was predeceased by: his wife Lillie Mae Spencer Celestin; his parents, Daniel, Sr. Celestin and Josephine Williams Celestin; and his siblings, Hezekiah, Malachi, Daniel, Jr., Jones, Joseph, Herbert Celestin, Sr., Odessa Hart, Eva Clay, Rosa Dell Duchan and Elizabeth Batholomew.
He is survived by: his children, James, Jr., Rev. Donald Celestin, Sr. (Gale), Cheryl Greenhouse (Raymon, Sr.) and Judy Smith; his sister Mable Lou Celestin; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Nero (Evain) and Brenda Spencer.
