He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta; his daughter Bonnie Jane Melancon; his grandson Shane Danos; his parents, Nelson Chaisson and Edna Chaisson; and his siblings, Lawrence, Easton, Chester, Laura, Eviola and Theresa.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Danos (Ronnie), Jackson, Jr. (Ted), Dennis (Judy) and Susan Ellender (Eddie). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
