He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Della Mitchell Toussaint; his sons, Isaiah E. Toussaint, Jr. (Angela), Ronald D. Toussaint (Stephanie), Brian C. Toussaint and Izeal VanBuren (Shawndrika); his stepson Roland Spencer; his daughters, Nevaida L. Toussaint Ray, Ella Francis Toussaint Byrd, Gaynell Maxine Toussaint Edaferierhi, Thelma Jane Toussaint (Cherry), Angela VanBuren (Renard) and Izetta VanBuren Blake (Ronnie); his parents, Rev. Edward Joseph Toussaint and Ella Moore Toussaint; his stepmother Francis Dorsey Toussaint; his former wife Laura Bell Lyons Toussaint; his stepson David Spencer; his grandparents, Rev. Sylvester Toussaint, Samuel and Evelyn Terry Moore; his sister Evelyn Edernia Toussaint Johnson; his grandson Renard Burdis, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Titus Johnson. He was also cherished by thirty-four grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
