With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hanson Joseph Theriot Sr. of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on June 7, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Theriot, Sr. and Myrtle Butler Theriot. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Ramirez Theriot; his friend Valerie Johnson; his sons, Hanson Theriot, Jr. and Wahi Harris; his stepsons, Kevin Harris (Darlene), Dion Harris (Tawanda), Darrin Harris (Trisha) and Marco Theriot (Shermita); his daughters, Michelle Theriot Ward (Ronnie) and Raquel Theriot; his stepdaughter Charnell Johnson Randle (John); his siblings, Earl Theriot, Jr. Donald Theriot (Artemise), Vernon Theriot (Ruth), Dwight Theriot (Johnnie), Gerald Theriot (Ethel), Kirk Theriot (Sharlene) and Janet Theriot Owens; his close friends, Cheryl and Sis; his son Ricky Nelson; his brother Tyrone "Putt" Theriot; his grandson Ajani Animashaun; his stepdaughter Shirlyn "Deedie" Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Petra Ramirez Lowe and Bernice Ausama Theriot; his cousins, Carrenda "Rhandi" Jeffery and Hank Theriot; and also, Maria and Percy Harris.
Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 11:00 AM until funeral time at 1:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial at Deweyville Cemetery.
