She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Charles, Jr.; her parents, Abe Johnson and Doretha Riley Green (Samuel, Sr.); her brothers, John Wayne and Samuel Green, Sr.; and her grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Riley.

She is survived by: her children, Rinard, Benjamin Charles, III, Cheryl Banks (Ernest), Jennea Smith (Corey) and Pamela Charles; and her siblings, Nathaniel, Robert, Theodore Green and JoAnn Alvis. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
