She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cotton and Harriet Lirette Cotton; her son Francis Chaisson, Jr.; and her brothers, Norris Cotton, Sr., Horace Cotton and Louis Cotton.
She is survived by: her children, Julius Chaisson (Gail), Linda Foret (Ronnie), Penny Smith (David) and Wendy Boudoin (Ray); her sister Rita Landry; and her spouse Francis A. Chaisson. She is also survived by grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
