He was predeceased by: his son Steven W. McCoy; his parents, Ernest McCoy and Mattie Marie Cox McCoy; his daughter-in-law Gizelle A. McCoy; and his siblings, Walter McCoy (Myrtle), Hazel M. Delk (Joseph), Betty M. McGahee (James) and Annie M. McGhee (Hugh).
He is survived by: his wife Janet Marie Ledet McCoy; his sons, George W. McCoy Jr. (Cindy) and Greg G. McCoy (Joyce); his daughter-in-law Angela D. McCoy; his grandchildren, Joe McCoy (Denise), April M. Broussard (Ryan), Marcie McCoy (Paul), Mikki M. Lodrigue (Jesse "Rock"), Jena McCoy and Ian McCoy; his great grandchildren, Haydn McCoy, Sarah McCoy, Cassie Lodrigue, Cameron Lodrigue, Trent Lodrigue, Alexis Lodrigue, Madison Lodrigue, Max Morgan and Cooper Broussard; and his great great grandchild Danuel Lodrigue.
