He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel "Jim" Neideffer and Eileen Neideffer; his sister Judy Owens; and his pets, Rocky and Rebel.
He is survived by: his wife Patti C. Neideffer; his daughter Brandi Schefferstein (Jason); his grandchildren, Liam and Shelby Schefferstein; and his siblings, Jackie Ayers, Joyce Neideffer, James "Jim" Neideffer (Janice), Janet Rembert and Patty Starkey (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
