He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Blanchard and Leve D. Blanchard; his son Brian Blanchard; and his brother C. J. Blanchard. He is survived by: his wife Nettie Blanchard; his children, Gary Blanchard Jr. (Mary), Elizabeth Dupre (Dwayne), Eric Blanchard and Steven Blanchard (Angie); his grandchildren, Katie Cenac Hebert, Kimberly Dupre Babin, Joshua Dupre, Whitney Blanchard, Gary Blanchard III, Briana Dupre and Brian Blanchard; and his sister Brenda Blanchard Landry. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
