He was predeceased by: his father John William Porter; his brother Roy Dale Porter; and his daughter Cynthia Lynn Porter. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hodson Porter; his son Rev. Steven J. Porter (Sally); his sister Mary Alice Rawlings; and his grandchildren, Katrena Ann King (Sky), Caleb Moss Porter and Levi Scott Porter (Brianna Augustine-Meredith).
