We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2020, at the age of 71, Floyd Diehl (Houma, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Crawford Diehl and Floyd E. Diehl, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Susan Broussard Diehl; his son Barrett Diehl; his daughter-in-law Mary-Ruby LeGarde; his daughters, Holly Woodall and Tiffany Woodall Marcel; his son-in-law Frank Marcel; his sister Florence Condon; his siblings-in-law, Richard Condon, Leslie Dumond, Mark Dumond, Todd Broussard and Juanita Broussard; his grandchildren, Maria Thacker, Hunter Daisy, Zach Dumond and Tori Marcel; and his great grandchildren, Avery Carrere Jr., Hunter Daisy Jr. and Kyeslie Kiger. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Due to government regulations regarding COVID-19, only a limited number of relatives and friends are allowed to attend the funeral services.

Donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in his name.

“In loving memory of Floyd Diehl, Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I am Sonny’s cousin from Memphis. My grandfather was Ray Diehl who was Sonny’s dads brother. My granddaddy died back in about 1960 and I remember meeting Floyd Sr. then. My brother Ray met Sonny and his mom when he attended a sugar bowl game around 1967. God bless you all. I was researching the Diehl family on ancestry and put Sonnys name on my iPad just out of curiosity. So sorry. EstherHughes”
