It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Faren James Verdin Sr. of Houma, Louisiana, born in Dulac, Louisiana, who passed away on July 1, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Wilbert "Bit" Verdin; and his niece Geralyn Simon. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hebert Verdin; his children, Nia (LeeRoy), Faren, Jr., Teara (Josh) and JaCoby (Emily); his grandchildren, Heather, Hunter, Logan, Branson, Baylor, Zoeie, Ricki, Brant, Bennett and Owen; his mother Mildred "Mae" Verdin; and his siblings, Sandra (Gerald) and Tillis (Kandy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
