He was predeceased by: his parents, Fedinand LeCompte and Eva Fanguy LeCompte; his siblings, Ismay Duplantis (Nelson), Ferdinand LeCompte, Jr. (Pele) and Franklin LeCompte (Katherine); his parents-in-law, Henry and Ester Boudreaux; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Hebert, Everette Spurgin and Jeanne Carrere (Nin).

He is survived by: his wife Theresa Boudreaux LeCompte; his children, Melanie Shipp (Jason) and Elton LeCompte, Jr. (Nicole); his grandchildren, Mia Shipp, Laurel Shipp, Elton LeCompte III (Tripp), Griffin LeCompte and Benton LeCompte; his siblings, Irma Hebert, Mary Jane Spurgin, Allen LeCompte (Jeannie), Margie Duplantis (Jimmy), Cecile Allemand (Terry), James LeCompte and Marlene Chauvin (Glynn); and his sisters-in-law, Annie LeCompte, Barbara Ledet, Beverly Gautreaux and Ester Willis (David).
