With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Govers of Houma, Louisiana, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Francis X. Govers, II; her parents, Pearl Harmon and Violet Dunlap Harmon; and her siblings, Raymond, Neil, Eddie Joe, Bob, Helen Harmon, Ruby Haws and Linda Sue Jackson.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Barrington Bennett (James W. Bennett, Jr.) of Morgan City; her stepchildren, Francis X. Govers III (Carol), David Govers (Desiree) and Valerie J. Buzalsky (John); her grandchildren, Landon, Noah, James III, Ben, Daniel, Rachel, Bethany, Jessica, Corbin and Ryan; her sisters, Rosemary Bass and Juanita Runyon; and her friends, Anna Leonard, Joe, Kristi and Jay Soignet. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
