He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smithson; his children, Chad Ramsey and Misty Carpenter (Quinton); his grandchildren, Morgan Slemker (Luke), Quade Carpenter and Mya Carpenter; his great grandchild Marayne Slemker; and his siblings, Don (Erika), Jane, Vicki (Ken), Bill (Marla) and Kelley (Debra). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.
