He was predeceased by: his children, Marizetta "Missy" and Carnel Henry Bolden; his parents, Chester, Sr. Bolden and Bertha Moses Bolden; his stepfather Andrew Jenkins; his siblings, Heard, Alfred, Chester "Butch" Bolden and Lois B. Clay; and his grandparents, Alfred, Lizie Simmons Bolden, Joseph and Ella Moses.
He is survived by: his wife Elise Mae Trosclair Bolden; and his children, Earl Bolden, Jr. (Jina), Keith Bolden, Sr. (Miriam), Mark Bolden (Cheryl), Renee L. Bolden and Angelia East (Lionel). He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
