She was predeceased by: her children, Steve Sims and Geraldine Toney; her grandson Ernest "Pops" Sims; her parents, Ethel Ross and Osborn Sims; and her sisters, Rose Mary Williams and Caldonia Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Minister Sterling Sims, Cary Sims, Katherine Sims and Janice Parker (Terry Sr.); and her sisters, Ethel Mae Ross, Alma Dewey and Mabel Scott.
A public viewing will be conducted from 12: oo p. m. until funeral time at 2: 00 p. m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S Hollywood Road in Houma. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing).
