“... continued.... I forgive myself finally. And I now understand that that wasn't your way, and I forgive you too. You didn't know you were hurting me, I have to believe that. Because I know you wouldn't have done that has you thought it was affecting me like it was. Goodbye my daddy! My life will never be the same without you in it.”

“.... Continued... I was always told by you and mama that I hurt y'all when I didn't call or come visit and lived all my life feeling like a horrible daughter because of those times. But now having kids, I look at it different. And I would never just allow my kids to not contact me. If I dont hear from them every couple of days I call them. And they know that I love them and I'm there for them. Because I show them.”

“... continued.... I went through the hardest time I've ever had. I didn't know how to cope with the state I saw my life was in. And I couldn't bare seeing the look on you and Mama's faces of disappointment. In hindsight I should have gone to y'all, but it would have been extremely amazing had y'all reached out and found me... You had the transportation, and my kids had my contact information. But y'all didn't ever try to even see how I was. And that hurt me more than anything on this earth.”

“... continued... There were so many things that you held onto that I wish you could have released and found peace about. And also things that I found out about later in life that both shocked and amazes me about you. I can say this at least, not one person ever said a bad word about you. You were respected, admired, smart, wise, and a really amazing daddy. Thank you for everything you did for me, I know in my heart I probably wouldn't be the woman I am today had you not set a solid foundation.”

“Daddy, I miss you so much. I wish we could have been able to put some things behind us before it was to late. It will always be the biggest regret in my life, that I didn't just go and see you before this. My heart is broken. I replay my life with you over and over in all the memories that we shared. You taught me about love , family, forgiveness. In the end I just wish you could have let go of the issues with certain people and just loved because I truly feel you would have been able to forgive”
