He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland R. Chauvin, Sr. and Wilhelmina Bourgeois Chauvin; his stepmother Estelle Marmande Chauvin; his brother Roland R. Chauvin, Jr.; his stepbrother Edmond Connely; and his sister Carol Lenox.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Walker Chauvin; his daughter Donna Chauvin Ross (Robert Ross); his grandsons, Jonathan Ross and Jeffrey Ross (Corinne Graffagnino Ross); his daughter Elizabeth Chauvin Latiolais (Oscar Latiolais); his granddaughter Sarah Latiolais; his daughter Lydia Chauvin; his grandchild Sydney Quinealty; and his siblings, Willie Lou Chauvin Whitney, Wilhelmina Chauvin Iennusa, Amy Chauvin Ourso and Guy Edwin Chauvin.
