He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Joseph Foret Sr and Williana Cuneo Foret; his siblings-in-law, Nettie Foret and Brian Boudreaux; and his pet Kandi.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Foret; his children, Connie Robichaux, Tammy Freeman (Scott), Dennis Foret Jr (Nicole) and Nancy Foret; his stepson Jason Parfait (Melissa); his siblings, Luby, Wilbert Jr (Cindy), Raymond (Diane), Betty Ford (Bert), Patricia LeCompte (AJ) and Annette Boudreaux; and his grandchildren, Kristen, Tiffany, Shane, Jason, Katie, Nathan, Kerrie, Tate, Haylee, Kaylee and Kylie. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
