She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith and Odelia Nevers Wilkerson; her brother Donald Roy Smith; her grandparents, Maud, Albertha Campbell Smith, James and Louise Gills Nevers; her stepgrandmother Emma Steward Nevers; and her godparents, Percy and Delores Banks Gabriel.
She is survived by: her children, Dontrell Haynes and Delisa Smith; her grandson Xavier Haynes; her siblings, Fred Smith (Felicia), Betty W. Scott (Clarence), Frederica H. Smith and Tiffany Lynch; her grandson Thomas Parker (Ava); and her aunts, Dorothy Gills and Brenda Thomas.
