He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Minter and Kathryn Beard Minter; and his brothers, Rick Minter and David Lee Minter. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Louviere Minter; his children, William Danny Minter Jr. (Amanda), Wesley Minter (Angela), Amanda Minter (Angele) and Ashleigh Chaisson (Jeremy); and his siblings, Sandy Minter (Jenny), Debra Minter, Leslie Minter and Jon Minter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
