He is survived by: his wife Katherine Bourgeois Lovell of Houma, Louisiana; his children, Katherine "Kay" Nelson, Clayton Lovell Jr., Sarah Lovell and Andrew Lovell; and his grandchildren, Jackson Nelson and Abigail "Abby" Nelson.
