With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cheryl King Breerwood of Houma, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cheryl left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sons, Roy "Buddy" F. Breerwood, III and Stephen Breerwood; and her parents, Edward King, and Hazel King, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Roy Breerwood, Jr.; her son Brian Breerwood (Marcia); her daughter-in-law Elizabeth "Betsy" Breerwood; her grandchildren, Drew, Jacob, Jack, Brennan, Hayden and Sydney; and her siblings, Donna King Dinger (Oris), Edward King Jr. (Christine), Dale King Guidroz (Jerry) and Tammy King Use' (Bobby).

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church (409 Funderburk Ave, Houma, LA 70364). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church in Houma or masses for the repose of her soul.

“We are heartbroken for Roy, Brian, and immediate family. We will miss Cheryl's many gifts. She was versatile on many topics and often won family trivia games, especially questions involving movies and music. Her interest in an array of topics and her sense of humor made it easy to talk with her when we got together. She was an amazing cook, too. We are praying for her peaceful repose and for our precious family. She will be missed.”
