He was predeceased by: his father Russell Pinell; and his grandparents, Paul, Cecile Neil, Nolia and Alcee Pinell.

He is survived by: his wife Melanie Dupre Pinell; his sons, Chase (Morgan), Jace (Destiny) and Tristin; his mother Sherry Neil Pinell; his grandson Julian Pinell; his siblings, Lori Pinell, Troy Pinell (Linda) and Tony Pinell (Nicole); his parents-in-law, Lonnie and Chris Dupre; and his siblings-in-law, Lynette Dupre, Brandon Dupre (Kim) and Travis Dupre.
