He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley LaJaunie Gautreaux; his parents, Golden Sr. and Rosadel Chaisson Gautreaux; and his siblings, Frances G. Authement, Michael, Murphy, Simon, Howard, Robert, Rueben and Hayes Gautreaux.
He is survived by: his children, Constance "Connie" Marie Kinkle, Jody Lynne, Mitchell Adam Gautreaux and Todd James Gautreaux; and his brother Golden Gautreaux, Jr.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
