He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Hayes; his parents, Thomas T. Steward and Brunetta Williams; his siblings, Bernard Steward, Claudette Smith and Claudell Outley; and his grandparents, Eddie and Edna Williams.
He is survived by: his siblings, Calvin Steward Sr. of Chicago, James Steward of Houma, Devoria of Houma, Louisiana and Loretta Steward of Houma, Louisiana; and his godchildren, Charles Crawford and Shenikqual Kimber. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel (230 S Hollywood Rd, Houma, LA 70364). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
