She was predeceased by: her husband Merlin Pellegrin; her son Ronald Pellegrin; her grandson Phillip Pellegrin; her parents, Edgar Richard, Sr. and Daisy Richard; her siblings, Nolan Richard (Lorena), Daniel Richard (Joyce), Betty Gautreaux (Louis) and Edgar Richard, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Rufus Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Griffin (James), Cathy Pellegrin, Cindy Pellegrin and Thomas Pellegrin (Monica); her siblings, Doris Freeman, Manuel Richard (Melva) and Janet LeBlanc; and her sister-in-law Barbara "Bobbie" Richard. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
