It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arthur Mitchell of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn "Bear" Mitchell; his brother Jesse Mitchell, III; and his grandparents, Rev. Henry, Sr. and Mattie Mae Chapman Mitchell. He is survived by: his close friend Cynthia Lewis; his children, Corey Minor, Micheal Minor (Melissa), Clyde Outley, Arielle Minor and Hope Wagner (Allen, Jr.); and his sisters, Karen Phipps (Jeffrey, Sr.), Denise and De'Shawn Mitchell. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a. m. until funeral time at 10:00 a. m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at New Zion Baptist Church, 263 Grand Caillou Road, Houma, LA 70363 (Per CDC regulations/local requirements all visitors must wear face masks in building at all times and practice social distancing).
