He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hale and Gethra Sanders Hale; his wife Linda Dianne Hale; and his brother Jerry Hale. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Earl Hale Jr. (Jennifer) and Timothy James Hale Sr.; his grandchildren, David, Carolyn of Tamara, TJ, Savannah Hale and Steven Hicks; his siblings, William T. Hale (Peggy), John R. Hale (Nancy), Jeanette H. Edwards (Jackie) and Eleanor H. Berkley (David); and his daughter-in-law Linda Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or charity of your choice in Robert's honor. 2 Timothy 4:7-8, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
