He was predeceased by: his wife Cathie Sue Ponder McGary; and his parents, Ethel Morine Springfield McGary (Springfield) and Dick Francis McGary. He is survived by: his children, Scott McGary (Holly McGary), Stacey Brandon (Curt Brandon) and Jennifer Harris (Sid Harris); his siblings, William Erwin McGary and Pattie Ann McGary; his grandchildren, Cameron McGary, Roxanne Brandon Lewis, Jaci Chambers, Ralston Brandon, Megan Harris, Bris Brandon and Jack Harris; and his great grandchild Amelia Lorraine Lewis.

“Dear Sister's and Brother, It is ashame and disrespectful to our father to have left out two of his children. I am his niece by birth right but he adopted me and took care of me from the age of 8 and he was my biggest hero and my best friend and he loved me very much and loved him even more. I dedicated 3 full years to him as he needed a nurse 24/7. Isaac McGary is his 3rd child. Dad thought of him everyday of his life. Respect our father and carry out his wishes not your own.”
