It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Ray Airhart of Hornbeck, Louisiana, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sullivan Airhart and Alice Airhart; his daughter Barbara Kay; and his siblings, Billy Airhart, Othal Walters, Ruth Curtis, Virginia Hale, Iva Lee Smart and Juanita Browning.

He is survived by: his wife Emogene Airhart of Hornbeck; and his children, Donnie Airhart (Sharen) of Pasadena, TX, Sheryl Gonzales (Art) of Decatur, AL and Rickey Airhart (Michelle) of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
