With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elnera Gillis of Homer, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Elnera may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elnera touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Homer (4043 Hwy 79, Homer, LA 71040). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Springhill North Cemetery Claiborne Parish.
