He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Adams and James Adams; and his cousin Steve Bryant. He is survived by: his close friend Dineah Jackson; and his children, Kevin Adams (Traci), Jennifer Mayes (Ferlando Mayes Sr.), Jacinta Walker, Gretchen Dennis Melisa Adams (Ralo Brown Jr.), Calvin Johnson and Tiffany Johnson. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
