He was predeceased by: his mother Alma Walters Hinton; his former wife Deborah T. Sommers; and his parent Dannie R. Sommers, Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Janette Sommers and Leigh Hathaway; his wife Sherry Ducombs; his grandchildren, Justin, Jillian Degruy, Ashton Spano and Karleigh Liberto (Joey Liberto); his great grandchild Joseph Vincent Liberto; and his siblings, Dannie Sommers, Jr. (Diane Greer) and Marylin McLain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
