It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Forbes Blount of Holden, Louisiana, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Furda Forbes and Lillian Forbes; her husband Earl Blount; her children-in-law, Sonny Thompson and Carolyn Blount; her granddaughter Angel Thompson; and her great grandchild Robert Earl Dees.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Norman (Leon), Dwight Blount (Eva), Pam Thompson, Debbie McCreary (David) and Daryl Blount (Patsy). She is also survived by grandmother to her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
