He was predeceased by : his parents, Huey Blades, Sr. and Murlean Blades; his grandfather Alonzo "Pappy" Taylor; his niece Joanna Blades; and his nephew Jeremy Montgomery.
He is survived by : his wife Darlene Blades; his children, Janet Stafford (Carlton "Jeremy") and Duane Blades; his siblings, Arlean Neumann (Tate), Esther Hollister (Lon), Joey Blades and James Blades; his grandchildren, Jordan Blades (Cheyenne), Dominick Blades, Madison Stafford and Jolie Stafford; his great grandchildren, Brantley Blades and Rylie Blades; his stepmother Glenda Blades; and also Harlan Jeane. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
