He was predeceased by: his son Austin Chandler; his parents, Amos Chandler Sr. and Thelma Chandler; and his sister-in-law Jane Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Joy Chandler of Hicks; his children, Ashley Chandler of Hicks and Ashton Chandler of Hicks; and his siblings, Margaret Dixon (Melvin) of Hicks, Louise Brinkley (Lee) of Pitkin, LA, Linda Smith (Gene) of Hicks, Amos Chandler Jr. of Hicks and William Chandler (Cindy) of Hicks.
