She is survived by: her parent Louise Powell (Duncan); her husband Leroy Mikel, Jr.; her son Jerrod William Hyle Mikel; her grandchildren, Jeremiah B. Mikel, Jameson Wilburn, Kaylee Hicks and Cameron Woods; and her siblings, Wayne Powell, Roberta Powell and Norma Neal-Carmany (David).
