He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Wesley Cumpton and Ila Castella Brewer Cumpton; his brothers, Lester, Roy and Jessie; his close friend Larry Cumpton, Jr; his former wife Mary Grace Hoggatt Cumpton; his sister Hazel Miller; and his daughter Susie Nielson (Lee).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Cumpton of Hebert; his son Tommy Cumpton (Cheri); his stepchildren, Christy Uehling, Shane Uehling (Dawn) and Cody Uehling (Christal); and his siblings, Gene Cumpton (Melba), Freddie Cumpton (Beth) and Irma Borden (Lavelle). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
