It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Herring Heard (Haynesville, Louisiana), born in Bernice, Louisiana, who passed away on July 22, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidner Herring of Bernice and Frank Herring of Bernice; her husband Horace of Homer; her siblings, Bobby Herring of Bernice and Betty Doss of Hico; and her granddaughter Ashleigh Dunn of Minden.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard (Tea), Robert (Terrie), Casey and Nat (Jessica); her grandchildren, Mitzi Koeppl (Chris), Carson Heard, Cason Heard, Ellis Heard, Leah Walker (James) and Daniel Speer (Anna); her son-in-law Mark Dunn; and her great grandchildren, Greyson Koeppl, Adilynd Koeppl, Ethan Harvey, Tristan Harvey, Jackson Bailey, Stella Speer, Madeline Dunn and Lola Dunn.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Heard, her family suggests Gideon International.
