He was predeceased by: his parents, Jenell White and G. T. Hoof; and his brothers, Earnest Hoof and Derrick White. He is survived by: his children, Anjanette "Angie" Dodd of Los Angeles and Dominic Dodd of Shreveport, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Veon Dodd, Alazia Dodd, Jermiyah Dodd, Maurice Campbell and Jaelin Dodd; his siblings, Lacy Charles Manning (Viola) of Los Angeles, California, Philander "Buck" White (Loretta), Jimmie Ray White (Sophie) of Haynesville, Louisiana, Jonathan "J. D." White (Rhonda) of Austin, Miguel "P. I." White of Shreveport, Vernita White of Los Angeles, California, Dorothy Henderson of Magnolia and Shirley May (Richard) of Grambling, Louisiana; his uncle Washington Kinnebrew; and his aunt Bertha Shelton (White). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins and lifetime friends; his "inseparable" special friend.
