He was predeceased by: his parents, John H Garrett and Nobie Hunt Garrett; and his brothers, J. Clifton Garrett, John Sidney Garrett and William Herman Garrett.
He is survived by: his brother Charles Garrett (Nora) of Haynesville, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
