She was predeceased by: her parents, Natie Harry Nattin and Elizabeth Adger Nattin; her daughter Sharon Elizabeth Acklin; her husband J. D. "Jakie" Acklin Jr.; and her siblings, Robert H. Nattin, Hall Nattin (Nita) and Antoinette Clisham.
She is survived by: her sons, James D. Acklin III, J. D. "Dave" Acklin III (Brenda) and Daniel E. "Dan" Acklin (Carmen); her grandchildren, Matthew D. Acklin, James Kyle Acklin (Sarah), Justin Ryan Acklin, Jake Acklin, Blane Acklin (Blossom), Alyssa Acklin and Ashley Acklin; her great grandchildren, Adleigh, Jasper Brixley, Waylon and Dixie; and her caregivers, Sue Buggs, Janet Stewart, Chris Turner, Alean Flournoy, Valardie McGee and Sandra Gryder.
