Wynona Perry Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wynona Perry (Haughton, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Irving Perry (Mike); her parents, Ezra Crain and Sallie Crain of Huntington Texas; and her siblings, Nelda Bates, Geneva Parish, Levetta Gupton and Vetma Crain.
She is survived by: her daughter Paula Perry Taylor of Bossier City; her grandchildren, Josie Taylor Stocko (Alex) of Atlanta and Blaine Taylor of Nashville, Tennessee.; her sister Linda; her brother-in-law Charles Durham of Lufkin; and her nieces, Monica Weeks, Whitney Garza, Terri Reed and Annette Schultz.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Asbury United Methodist Church (3200 Airline Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
Her favorite topics, during her later years with Alzheimer's Disease, were being a country doctor's nurse, a nurse in Houston, the "old place", and the pump hole at Shawnee Switch.
