He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pierce Birchfield and Ann Maurine Terrell Birchfield; and his sisters, Klarien Day Birchfield and Ann Elizabeth Rochester. He is survived by: his wife Janice Birchfield; his children, William P. "Trey" Birchfield, III and Lee Lindsay Slansky (Bob); his grandchildren, Derek Thrasher, Krystyn Oliver (Derek), Sara Sayers, Peyton Birchfield and Jayden Birchfield; his great grandchild Kennedy Prescott; his friend Airline Baptist; and his pets, Boudreaux and Buddy.
