She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil V. Slade and Dorothy McDuffie Slade; her husband Paul C. Ratcliff; her son-in-law Harold "Jay" Bennett; her grandson-in-law James Kirk Calhoun; and her siblings, Carolyn Sylvester, Donald Slade and Billy Frank Slade.

She is survived by: her daughter Paula Bennett; and her grandchildren, Brooke Calhoun, Paul Bennett (Crystal) and Jill Castillo (John). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
