“I pray God gives you His peace that passes all understanding during this difficult time. Shirley was a great mentor and friend to me, especially after the loss of Mom. Just talking to Shirley on the phone made me feel like I had a connection to Mom, as they both told wonderful stories of their childhood when they would play with their dolls at the Gilger farm on the Red River. She was always prepared with a funny story and I can hear her laughter in heaven. She and Mom are together again.”
