We bid farewell to Shirley Ann Thomas (Haughton, Louisiana), born in Jackson, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 30, 2024 at the age of 77. Shirley Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren H. Halley and Susie R. Tidwell-Lawrence (Huey); her son Brian P. Thomas; her husband James R. Thomas, Sr.; her siblings, James L. Evans, Sr. and Connie McKinnie; her brother-in-law Leon Tanck; her daughter Paula Fuller; and her grandson-in-law Justin Black.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Tanck; her children, Robby Thomas and Stacey Boyce (Robert); her daughter-in-law Michelle Hollowell; her grandchildren, Mandie Barnett (Eric), Brittany Black, Alexandria Boyce-Parsons (Noah) and Levin Boyce (Grace); her great grandchildren, Brandon Barnett, Alissa Barnett, Kaylee Barnett, Kara Barnett, Corbin Black, Ella Black, Auralynn Parsons, Ashton Boyce and Declan Boyce; and her nieces and nephews, Damon Tanck (Stephanie), Shannon Tanck (Jenise), James L. Evans, Jr. (Wendy), Jamie McKinnie-Smith and Nickie Powell (Ryan). She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill Crest Funeral Home & Park (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
